dBred Piano Zero
Impact sound insulation system that provides the direct glueing of the ceramic on the mats of the dBred range
It is realisable in reduced thicknesses from cement surface or pre-existent floors. It is particulary suited to reconstruction interventions and in the reduction of the structural transmission of impact noises on stairs. The whole cycle of application needs a cement adhesive suitable to the floor.
Surfaces suitable for application
Single-layer lightweight base screeds:
■ Politerm Blu (from 300 kg/m3), Poliplus Fein 300, Poliplus XXL 350, Poliplus XX 500, Poliplus Max 800.
■ Traditional or self-levelling cement screeds.
■ Self-levelling screed with anhydrite base.
■ Existent ceramic floors.
Technical characteristics
■ Tensile resistance: > 0,4 N/mm2 (UNI EN 12004-2).
■ Impact sound reduction: values of ∆Lw up to 17 dB (UNI EN ISO 140-7).
■ Load at 25% compression: 0,28 N/mm2 (EN ISO 3386-2).
dBred Piano Zero Steps
The intervention is optimal for the insulation of structural elements made of reinforced concrete such as stairs and landing or common passages even if already existent.

Notes
Application cycle
■ Application of the polyethylene perimeter adhesive strip dBred LF5 only vertically.
■ Glue application with cogged trowel of 6-8 mm according with application layer’s planarity.
■ Laying of dBred mat.
■ Passage with overload roll of 25 kg with the aim to allow a perfect adhesion between glue and the mat.
■ Sealing of the dBred mat junctions with silicone.
■ Wait for the grip of the glue.
■ Apply the glue on the mat with a 10 mm toothed spatula (curved toothing) in order to obtain the total adhesion of the flooring covering.
■ Application of the ceramic coating with spacings of variable width according to the coating’s format. It is recommended to realize spacings of at least 3 mm for coatings with dimensions up to 60 cm and surfaces of no more than 20 m2; and spacings of 5 mm for coatings with the greater side of 60 cm and/or surfaces over 20 m2.
■ Fill in the joints (traditional method).
■ Apply the baseboard.
