The thermal insulating Bound EPS (BEPS) concretes are a new technology that combines thermal insulation, mortar & lightweightness in one product!
It is an innovative and alternative solution of single cast thermal insulation without thermal bridges and exceptionally high thermal inertia. It comes to offer complete technical solutions on energy conservation once and for all, on the actual problems of old and modern buildings, while providing thermal insulation, lightweightness, fire resistance, breathability, passive ventilation while creating slopes all in a single product.

The products are applied in:
  • Roofs/terraces/balconies (thermal & simultaneous gradient formation)
  • Floors (direct gluing of tiles, marble, stone, wood etc)
  • Walls/pillars/beams/pilotis (external or internal thermal insulation)
The weight per cubic of the thermal (BEPS) concretes is dependent on the thermal insulation specifications and may vary between 110-800Kg/m3.
  • 110 to 350 Kg/m3 – High thermal insulating results
  • 500 to 800 Kg/m3 – High compressive strength
The thermal BEPS concretes, due to the closed structure of the polystyrene (virgin bead, not recycled) and due to their extremely low density, are the most suitable thermal insulating products for roofs-terraces-metal structures, walls, pilotis etc, exhibiting extremely low thermal resistance “R”.
With their single cast thermal insulating layer we achieve dynamic & breathable thermal insulation with one single product, elimination of thermal bridges and high thermal insulation inertia due to their respective density contrary to other existing thermal insulating products.

Natural & pleasant internal climate!
With the use of TEKTO’s thermal insulating mortars, a pleasant indoor climate is achieved with stable indoor temperatures and relative humidity. Moreover, the indoor air quality is improved and does not exhibit quantities of pollutants and hazardous components, thus contributing to the quality of life, the health and the prosperity of the occupants.
TEKTO’s products are fire resistant and are labeled as A2,s1-d0 with the exception of the fireproofing plaster Protherm Light with is labeled as A1. The products have extremely low pyrothermic load thus not contributing to the creation – spread of flames.
During their exposure to fire no smoke is produced, not transmittance of flame and sparks occurs, no parts or drips of material is exhibited thus making it suitable for every construction as well as metal constructions were fireproofing plays a pivotal role.
