Our production

PRODUCTION OF VIRGIN EXPANDED POLYSTERENE, EPS, BEADS
The production of expanded polystyrene beads takes place in TEKTO’s production site in Thessaloniki. The expansion of the polystyrene beads is achieved through steam in an EPS expander. Two types of raw materials are used for the production of various bead sizes. No recycled polystyrene beads are used. After their expansion and drying the beads are stored in specially designed silos for achieving dimensional stability, prior to treating them with special additives.

TREATED VIRGING POLYSTYRENE BEADS FOR THE PRODUCTION OF THERMAL INSULATING, BEPS, MORTARS.
Politerm series
The virgin EPS beads, after their expansion and storage, they are transferred by air within the factory through a pipe network as to produce the specially treated polystyrene aggregates that are to be used in BEPS mortars. In this part, the EPS beads pass through a specially designed machine in which they are treated with special additives in a controllable digital automated production.
Finally, the packaging of the product takes place in plastic bags of various sizes, bearing the trade name Politerm.

PREMIXED THERMAL INSULATING BEPS MORTARS
Poliplus – Tektoterm – Protherm series
For the production of the premixed thermal insulating BEPS mortars, the beads are air transferred in the premixed production line, where they are stored in specially designed silos. Through a controllable digital automated production pass through a mixer of dry particles. In this stage, depending on the recipe, the beads are treated with special additives and the hydraulic binders. The final product is packaged in paper bags bearing the trade names Poliplus – Tektoterm – Protherm. Afterwards palletization and storage takes place.
